(Dayton, OH) A six million dollar renovation
project at Mary Scott Nursing Center, 3109 Campus
Drive, Dayton has a completion date of September 30,
2002. The project is designed to enhance the quality
of life being provided to the 100 plus Mary Scott residents.
It is scheduled to take a year to complete and utmost care
will be taken to preserve a tranquil resident environment
throughout the modernization.
The first phase of the renovation
will include six rooms being changed over to resident lounges.
The lounges will feature floor to ceiling windows, media
stations, nutrition centers and arts and crafts corners. A new
elevator will be installed for the use of residents and
visitors while the existing elevator will be converted to
service purposes, only. Improvements will also include shower
rooms being renovated to include new whirlpool baths and new
shower areas. Nursing stations will also be modernized.
Mary Scott's Personal Care Salon will
be enlarged and relocated. The therapy room will be expanded
and moved to the building's second floor. The public restrooms
will be updated and made handicap accessible while office
renovations will also include electronic handicap accessible
entries. At completion Mary Scott will offer a larger parking
area to accommodate family members, visitors and staff.

Communities, Mary Scott Nursing Center is a member of the
American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, the
Association of Ohio Philanthropic Homes, Housing and Services
for the Aging, Miami Valley Long Term Care Association, and is
a System Partner with United Way of Greater Dayton.
The Mary Scott Nursing Center is in its 87th year of
service to the Dayton Community. Guided by its, "Caring
Comes From Inside," vision, Mary Scott Nursing Center is
licensed for 116 beds and offers highly skilled, long-term,
respite and rehabilitative health care services.
